I like the design, finding it very functional. It held well in my car's vents and can be easily positioned.

However, the quality of one of the components is low. After only about 11 months the gears that hold the side arms in position stripped causing the left arm to go out to max width. It's not like I was constantly adjusting the arm width - I did not. I set it to my phone and then left it at that width. I used the mount 5 days a week going to and from work and all I did was slip the phone into it and pull it out.

 It's been nearly two years since the release of the last truly new iPod touch, but has that two years been worth the wait? The answer is a resounding YES! The iPod touch is still not perfect though. Where it could see some improvement is in Apple's native camera and photo apps. (See section titled "Camera and Photography" for details.)

I'm no Apple fanboy, just a gadget fan in general. I retain fandom of a wide range of mobile devices, not just Apple's, but I have to admit, when it comes to non-phone touchscreen media devices, Apple still takes the cake ...and the Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0). The handful of iPod touch competition simply cannot compare, even after a two-year hiatus prior to a newer, even more spectacular model.

Q: How can it be stick on the dashboard without move? Is it easy to remove it from the dashboard?
A: The unit has a suction cup with a material that is very sticky that seals so well that the bond is very strong. My dashboard has a typical hard plastic surface that is not absolutely smooth; the texture is a pebbly faux leather with very small, rounded bumps. Also, the dash is slightly curved where my unit is mounted. Nevertheless, the iOttie has stayed in place since I mounted it two months ago. With respect to your question about removal, yes, it was easy for me to remove it from the dashboard when I repositioned it during initial mounting. I cannot speak to how easy it would be if I removed it now, but have no reason to believe it would be different. Removal was not a matter of releasing the lever on the suction cup ... that was step 1. I used the tip of a plastic knife to gently lift the edge of the suction cup up enough to allow air into the center, then peeled the unit off. It left a little sticky residue--very slight--that wiped off with a damp cloth. The iOttie remounted easily immediately thereafter and has stayed put ever since.

The Koomus Windshield Mount works great with my iPhone 5 and is very is to install and uninstall. It has gel suction cup so the mount does not fall off the windshield. It can be moved to almost any angle. The part that holds your device turns 360 degrees and can be angled down or up/ left or right. It has a glossy black finish and partially has a black matte finish. When the mount is on my windshield installed it takes me 2 seconds to put my iPhone 5 in it. My iPhone 5 has a battery case on it and it work with the mount with no problems. This mount is very sleek and small and is great for holding your smartphone for navigating. The gel pad should be washed with warm water to restore original condition so it becomes tacky again. No residue is left behind after uninstalling the mount. I really like this mount and will be using it when I travel for holding my iPhone for navigation.

Overall, this windshield mount is great and I enjoy using it. I recommend this car mount to anyone looking for a solution to hold their smartphone up on their windshield.

What an AWESOME product!! Recently I found myself needing to purchase a new product due to my Griffin wired adapter having been damaged. I decided on this product and I am so happy I did. I experienced some difficulty getting the product to work in my cigarette lighter and had to take the end of the piece that goes into the cigarette lighter off and reconnect. Once I did that and the unit turned on, I can tell you that this product is FABULOUS! It plays my Ipod clear as a bell. There was no static whatsoever on my entire ride to work, the last 20 minutes of which is city driving. For years I used a Griffin FM adapter. The static in and near cities was terrible and made the product unusable in cities. I found myself constantly trying to find clear stations even in the country where I live. I lived with it because I didn't know anything was any better out there. This product makes your Ipod sound as clear as your radio and I love that I have a space for my Ipod where I am not always looking for where it is on the seat. If you're looking for a wireless adapter, this little product is absolutely AMAZING. Best $16, $17 dollars I ever spent. I highly recommend it.
